In a sweeping policy announcement, the Justice Department outlined eight top priority areas for its enforcement of marijuana laws.
They range from preventing the distribution of marijuana to minors to preventing sales revenue from going to criminal enterprises, gangs and cartels and preventing the diversion of marijuana outside of states where it is legal under state law.
FAIRFIELD, Conn. (TheBlaze/AP) — A Connecticut police department wants folks in the town it’s protecting to know that missing their favorite shows doesn’t constitute an emergency.
Fairfield police say they received numerous 911 calls about a cable outage that hit parts of southwestern Connecticut Sunday night.
The message on the department’s Facebook page says the outage is “neither an emergency or a police related concern.” The post warns that 911 should be used for life-threatening emergencies only and misuse of the 911 system may result in an arrest:

A 10th woman has come forward to accusing San Diego Mayor Bob Filner of sexual harassment, according to KGTV-TV.
The incident occurred at the La Jolla Presbyterian Church in June, according to Renee Estill-Sombright, who told KGTV, “We were standing face-to-face and he held on to me and he was like, ‘You are so beautiful,’.”
