‘Jesus Is Not Going Away’: Blaze Readers React to Famed Pastor’s Major Wake-Up Call for Christians About the Dire State of American Culture
TheBlaze posted a story earlier this week focusing on outspoken Pastor Mark Driscoll of Mars Hill Church in Seattle, Wa., who gave a wake-up call to Christians regarding the state of American culture.
In his new book, ”A Call to Resurgence: Will Christianity Have a Funeral or a Future?” Driscoll says we live in a “post-Christian culture — a culture fundamentally at odds with faith in Jesus.” Driscoll believes that culture is changing and church attendance has dropped due to the lack of social benefits that the church offers, leading him to question the future of Christianity.

New Jersey: Governor Christie Vetoes Major Anti-Gun Bills and Gun Owners Secure a Significant and Rare Victory
Today, Governor Chris Christie (R) vetoed a trio of anti-gun bills after nearly seven months of contentious public debate. Misguided anti-gun state lawmakers introduced more than 80 anti-gun bills at the beginning of the year. By this summer, more than a dozen bills cleared both legislative chambers and were sent to the Governor for his consideration and action. Earlier this month, Governor Christie signed ten of those gun bills into law, but he left three deeply flawed bills for today’s action. Your NRA-ILA was there every step of the way to oppose these onerous and overreaching bills. Of all the legislation introduced, the three bills vetoed today were the most egregious.
Oracle CEO Larry Ellison told CBS News’ Charlie Rose that he has no problem with the NSA’s massive surveillance programs. In fact, he said, the surveillance is “great” and “essential.”
“Who’s ever heard of this information being misused by the government? In what way?” the CEO of one of America’s largest software companies asked.
When Rose asked him if he was fully endorsing the NSA’s spying efforts, Ellison doubled down.
NEW YORK (AP) — Friday could be D-day for Major League Baseball’s drug investigation.
Deliberations over suspensions in the Biogenesis case could stretch out for the rest of this week and delay announcements, two people familiar with the talks said Tuesday.
It appeared several of the dozen or so targeted players were likely to reach agreements on their penalties and avoid grievance hearings, one of the people said Tuesday, speaking on condition of anonymity because no statements were authorized.
It’s graduation season and while most college grads in their early twenties grasp tightly onto their single major with perhaps a minor or two, an 18-year-old University of Arkansas student received his bachelor of science for triple majoring in mathematics, physics and economics.
