Here Is the ‘Wholly Inappropriate Language’ That Cost Eastern Michigan Football Coach Ron English His Job

YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP) — Eastern Michigan athletic director Heather Lyke says fired football coach Ron English used “wholly inappropriate language” while addressing the team.
EMU announced English’s dismissal Friday. On Saturday, the school released a statement from Lyke saying she’d received a tape of English addressing the team. She called his statements “absolutely unacceptable.”

A Vine account appearing to belong to the vehemently anti-gay Westboro Baptist Church features a number of videos hammering homosexuals and praising the death of soldiers.
The church, infamously known for protesting at the funerals of dead soldiers and demonstrating with their trademark “God hates fags” signs, uploaded their first video the social media platform on August 28.
The videos attempt to use current events, such as Halloween and the World Series, to articulate their controversial message.
