As a best-selling novelist of political thrillers, Brad Thor is perhaps better plugged in to international events than most of our Congressmen. For example, news is breaking this week that the United States paid a ransom to a “con man” in exchange for alleged deserter Army Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl. #Pentagon got duped, made ransom payment [&#…

Senate Bill 292, a bill that would have required abortionists in Indiana to provide the Indiana State Department of Health with written verification that they either have hospital admitting privileges, or an agreement with a doctor who has local hospital admitting privileges, has died in the Indiana House controlled by a Republican supermajority. …
If the old-timey phone business doesn’t work (and we know it doesn’t) try that, Obama administration!
Twitter users offer some other ideas:
Philly-area columnist J.D. Mullane had another “scoop” as well. He spotted the infamous navigator!
He then summed up the problem:
ObamaCare's most glaring defect is that it is what the government wants, not what consumers want.—

Planned Parenthood has repeatedly shown that they believe they are above the law, don’t have to follow rules, and can generally do whatever they want with no repercussions. But in Wisconsin, they’re actually getting called out for it.
WisconsinEye — the public affairs televison channel and website that essentially serves as Wisconsin’s own C-SPAN for the state Legislature — issued a statement Thursday slamming Planned Parenthood, saying the abortion rights group violated its user agreement with the network by featuring video footage it purchased from WisEye in an attack advertisement targeting Senate President Mike Ellis, R-Neenah.
The ad shows Ellis angrily pounding his gavel and telling Democrats to sit down during a heated Senate floor debate over a bill requiring doctors who provide abortions to have hospital admitting privileges. The bill passed, but was blocked by a federal judge over concerns that the law may be unconstitutional.
WisEye’s user agreement explicitly prohibits political or commercial use of its content, such as if it is “disseminated in any way that expressly advocates the election, defeat, recall or retention of a clearly identified candidate or a particular vote at a referendum.”
Planned Parenthood did then remove the footage from their ad…only to purchase the exact same footage from a different source.
“Removal of the video elements created from the purchased video, only to be replaced by the same WisconsinEye coverage obtained from another source, magnifies Planned Parenthood’s disregard for the user agreement and the spirit of WisconsinEye’s mission to foster quality dialogue,” WisEye board chair Margaret Farrow said in a statement. “This is a blatant disregard for the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing embodied in the user agreement.”
It is almost hard to believe that they could be so brazen as to sign an agreement…and then immediately turn around and completely disregard it. But then, lying is part of the Planned Parenthood M.O., as is thinking they’re above the law. Breaking rules? Just a normal day’s work. After all, they lied about providing mammograms, lied to women by giving them false medical information, and were found to cover up child sex-trafficking and statutory rape.
Basically, we are shown time and time again that there is no rule that Planned Parenthood won’t break, no low they won’t sink to, to promote abortion and enjoy the lucre it brings in.

Tom Brokaw Reaches ‘Breaking Point’ With White House Correspondents’ Dinner — Here’s the Reason He Won’t Be Attending
Legendary newsman Tom Brokaw declined his invitation to the 2013 White House Correspondents’ Dinner for one specific reason: Lindsay Lohan. She may have been his “breaking point,” but it was a longtime coming.
“Somewhere along the line, it began to freewheel out of control,” Brokaw told Politico. “And the breaking point for me was Lindsay Lohan.”
The troubled actress attended the 2012 White House Correspondents’ Dinner as a guest of Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren. Lohan apparently disappeared a few times to the bathroom for a cigarette and tipped an attendant $ 100 before saying, “You’re too old to be doing this,” according to Page Six’s Cindy Adams.
The New York Post has more background on the annual celeb-filled soiree and Brokaw’s disdain for it:
The dinner has been a tradition since 1920 for journalists who cover the White House and the President. Brokaw said in the Politico interview that he enjoyed attending the event in previous years, especially in 1975 when “Saturday Night Live” stars Chevy Chase and Jim Belushi made appearances.
However, Brokaw said that standards of the red-carpet fete have now fallen so low that his “daughter’s junior prom has more dignity.”
The newsman has been vocal about his distaste for the soiree before. He told NBC’s “Meet the Press” last May, “Look, I think George Clooney is a great guy. I’d like to meet Charlize Theron. But I don’t think the big press event in Washington should be that kind of glittering event where the whole talk is about Cristal champagne, taking over the Italian Embassy, who had the best party, who got to meet the most people.”
Brokaw also said there is now a “separation between what we’re supposed to be doing and what the people expect us to be doing, and I think that the Washington press corps has to look at that.”
The 2013 dinner will be hosted by NBC late night host Conan O’Brien and will feature stars like Scarlett Johansson, Sofia Vergara and Nicole Kidman, according to the Post.
