Carmike’s Stimulus Tuesdays

carmike
Beginning March 10 Carmike Cinemas will have Stimulus Tuesdays where you can get a 46oz Popcorn and/or a 16oz Soda for a $1 each.

So my question is, does Carmike think this will make people go rushing in to watch movies? I don’t watch movies at theaters anymore , I always watch it on DVD when it comes out if it’s worth my time to even watch, which 95% of movies today is not even worth watching.

But i am thinking how much they sold that popcorn and soda before? I mean to me $1 seems high but it’s a business and they got to make money which i suppose is reasonable. But what is it the rest of the week? $3+ for a soda? I can buy a whole 12 pack of pepsi for $2.50.

And let’s not forget the movie itself. Are they raising the price of the movie to make up for that $1 soda and popcorn or charging people to use the restroom like a certain airline is/was thinking about?

Anyway that’s not enough to get this guy into the theaters again. Like i said i prefer to watch it on dvd if it is even worth watching in the comfort of my own home where i can actually enjoy the movie and no babies crying, cellphones ringing and kids giggling.

I hope Carmike Cinemas won’t be the next one asking for stimulus money from the government.
